Conference
The climate crisis, caused by climate change, is the greatest threat to modern society. Climate extremes, such as devastating storms and high temperatures, cause extreme damage not only to nature but also to society—the health system, housing, work, energy system, transport, infrastructure, and many other exposed systems.
Urgent and joint action is needed to stop the climate crisis. This includes changing our way of life and business and turning to green and sustainable solutions. The aim is to stop the negative trend of increasing global greenhouse gases, rising global temperatures, rising sea levels, reducing biodiversity and mortality rates, and other devastating consequences that we face every day.
As a global problem, the climate crisis requires a broad mobilization of stakeholders from all social and economic sectors. The conference Developing Green Infrastructure to Climate-Neutral Cities will be held at the Old City Hall in Zagreb on February 14, 2025. It is an ideal platform for urgent mobilization and action to stop the progression of the climate crisis.

By bringing together leading experts, scientists, mayors, and representatives of local self-government units from all over Europe to jointly consider the key aspects of sustainable urban energy, we continue the discussion on green and sustainable, taking into account the conclusions of the Green Transition Drives European Cities Conference held in May 2024.
We continue the discussion on accelerating the green transition and achieving climate neutrality with three key topics: green infrastructure as a faster path to energy efficiency and climate neutrality, sustainable transport solutions for European cities and efficient waste management in the context of energy transition and climate neutrality.
Our goal is to open a broader discussion on how to accelerate the achievement of climate neutrality by presenting examples of good practices and exchanging experiences of European cities and Croatian cities, involving various stakeholders in creating sustainable and climate-neutral solutions, detecting new opportunities for cooperation and new opportunities for the development of green infrastructure, sustainable transport or efficient waste management.
Therefore, we invite you to join us again and become part of a growing platform for sharing knowledge and ideas and connecting key stakeholders in the field of energy transition and climate neutrality.
Together, we are building a green future for our cities and communities!
